Hello, wow I have missed blogging! It seems like it has been forever and a day since I have wrote but in reality it has only been two weeks. We are almost all settled in, we finished painting my room so I can now begin the process of design, I can’t wait to show you the process. I was also sick for the past couple of days so that set me back a bit, but now I am much better and back on track.
With all of the craziness of moving I have not been doing much cooking so we have been eating out some. A new restaurant that was not here when we lived in Pensacola the first time is Fisherman’s Corner, it has been open for just over three years. I must say I was pleasantly shocked when we ate here the first time. The outside is quite small and old but on the inside it is a lovely casual fine dinning restaurant with linen table cloths and napkins. A bit of history on the restaurant, it was a bait shop for many years and was changed over to a restaurant just over three years ago. Fisherman’s Corner has a New Orleans vibe to it, much of the food is influenced by New Orleans, it also has “The Worlds Smallest Kitchen” according to our first waitress so the food may take a bit longer then usual or may come out at different times. It is not right on the beach but it is two minutes up the road from our house so it is very convenient, and another minute from the beach.
We have been there a few times, each time I ordered the burger, which is the best burger I have ever had. My parents have ordered several different things such as Shrimp and Grits, Shrimp Po-Boy, Amberjack Po-Boy, and Grouper Po-Boy. I am not a fish person but my parents have raved about the seafood. It is always fresh and delicious and prepared just the way you request it. Even though it has the New Orleans vibe the food we have had is not spicy but if you like a little extra spice in your life I am sure they can add that for you.
